Bina
Puri Group of Companies was founded on 5 June 1975 by Dr.
Tony Tan Cheng Kiat, the Founder Director of Bina Puri Sdn.
Bhd. Since then, the Group has come a long way, starting
with only a small building contract for the Police Station
and Staff Quarters in Kepong for the Public Works
Department. In September 1985, Bina Puri evolved from a
class “BX” licensed contractor specifically for the Public
Works Department (JKR) to a class “A” industry leader in
building and civil engineering contracting. With an increase
in Bina Puri’s portfolio, Bina Puri began to undertake
projects of unlimited value both locally and
internationally. Among the earlier projects included the
improvement of Federal Route 1 Kuala Lumpur to Rawang and
the road from Ulu Yam Baru to Ulu Gombak and North South
Expressway from Alor Pongsu to Bukit Merah, Perak.
In early November 1990, Bina Puri Holdings Bhd. Was
incorporated as a private limited company under the name of
Bina Puri Holdings Sdn. Bhd. The Group made a lot of further
progress in January 1995, with the expansion of its business
activities, while adding property development, highway
concessionaire, quarry operations, manufacturing of
construction materials and polyurethane system house to the
list. It was also at this time that Bina Puri Holdings
Bhd. was listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia.
Along
with the progress and development that Bina Puri Holdings Bhd.
was going through, in July 1994, Bina Puri opened its first
office in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. With only two staff at the time,
the first project undertaken was the resurfacing of Kota
Kinabalu International Airport. Currently, the branch office in
Kota Kinabalu has increased in its number of projects in East

The current operating corporate office is located in Selayang,
where Bina Puri has occupied the building since 28 March 1998.
Recently, the Group moved forward with another operating office
in South East Asia in March 2007 with the opening of the office
in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Group’s first overseas venture was in August 1999 with
Madhucon Projects Ltd., an Indian-based construction company.
The Group has also completed many projects in China, India,
Nepal, Thailand. Since its first overseas project, the Group has
set up offices in Vietnam, Thailand, United Arab Emirates,
Indonesia, Pakistan and Brunei Darussalam.
The Board of Directors and members of staff have been led under
the leadership of YBhg Dato’ Mohamed Feisal Ibrahim, Executive
Chairman. Hard work and determination have been the key factors
that have led Bina Puri Holdings to be recognised as a reliable
and responsible establishment. With our continuing mission to be
a dominant global player in the industry, we are active members
of MiGHT (Malaysia Industry Group for High Technology) and MBAM
(Master Builders Association of Malaysia).
