A joint venture between Bina Puri Builder Sdn Bhd and Tim Sekata Sdn Bhd (Bina Puri – Tim Sekata JV) has won a sub-contract work from Syarikat Pembenaan Yeoh Tiong Lay Sdn Bhd to undertake Section 4 Civil Works - Site Clearance and Embankment Earthwork with All Associated Works for the Electrified Double Track from Gemas to Johor Bahru Project. The contract value is RM251.531 million and targeted to be completed by 30th April 2020.

Karak Land Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary company of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd, successfully launched its 1,600 acres development at Karak, Pahang named “The Valley @ Bentong”.

The Valley aims to create a farming community by offering agriculture based concept of farming and homesteads.

The event was graced by the Minister of Primary Industries, Yang Berhormat Puan Teresa Kok and was also attended by the Bentong Member of Parliament, YB Tuan Wong Tack, Bina Puri Chairman, Tan Sri Dato’ Wong Foon Meng and Bina Puri Group Managing Director, Tan Sri Datuk Tee Hock Seng.  Others whom attended includes YB Puan Kamache a/p Doray Rajoo, ADUN Sabai, YB En Lee Chin Chen,  ADUN Bilut and YB Puan Young Syefura Othman, ADUN Ketari Pahang .

Bina Puri Sdn Bhd has successfully handed over the completed Massive Sewerage Treatment Plant Project at Setapak, Kuala Lumpur to the client, the Sewage Services Department of Malaysia.  With the contract value of RM291.16 million and constructed since 2015, the project, once fully operational is capable to benefit the increasing residents of the surrounding areas for the next 20 years.

Bina Puri Sdn Bhd successfully completed the Medini Development’s Twin Tower Project in Johor Bahru, Johor. In brief, the project with the contract value of RM195 million is the development of 2 blocks of 23-storey office tower. Each block comprises of 15-storey office tower, an 8-storey podium consisting of a 7-storey car parks and one floor lobby area with facilities, and also a 3-storey basement car parks.

The 1,000 Houses Project at Kg Lugu National Housing Scheme Phase 1A, Brunei Darussalam won the Green Mark Gold Rating at the Building & Construction Authority (BCA) Awards 2018, held at Resorts World at Sentosa, Singapore.

The Singapore-based award recognises developers with strong commitment towards corporate social responsibility and outstanding achievements in environmental sustainability. It is given to developers who achieve a substantial rating of Green Mark Buildings at Gold level and higher.

The award proves that Bina Puri, as the main contractor of the project, has strong capability to undertake such a large-scale project that received international recognition.

Bina Puri celebrated Opus Kuala Lumpur Topping-Up Ceremony. This was the last pour of concrete for the whole building structure works. Opus Kuala Lumpur is a luxury condominium developed by Star Effort Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary company of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd. The event was attended by project’s developer, consultants, contractor, suppliers and press members.

Bina Puri Holdings Bhd held its 27th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at its Selayang Headquarters. A total of 317shareholders attended the meeting.

YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Ir Wong Foon Meng chaired the meeting in which several proposals were discussed including ordinary business transactions, and special business transactions. For special business transactions, a few proposals were discussed including the proposed renewal of shareholders’ mandate for recurrent related party transactions, authority to allot shares pursuant to Section 75 and Section 76 of the Companies Act 2016, and the proposed renewal of authority for the company to purchase its own shares.

Jesselton View project received its Certificate of Practical Completion (CPC). Jesselton View is a property development by Bina Puri Properties Sdn Bhd that comprises of 80 units of 5-storey and 11-storey apartment in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Bina Puri Holdings Bhd held its Extraordinary Annual General Meeting (EGM) on 24th September 2018  at its Selayang Headquarters. A total of 173 shareholders attended the meeting.

YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Ir Wong Foon Meng chaired the meeting in which the EGM saw the shareholders approve of its proposed private placement of up to 92.12 million shares, or 30% of its enlarged issued shares, to raise some RM21.88 million.

The LKIM Fishery Complex project at Kuching, Sarawak won the Special Mention certificate in the Malaysian Construction Industry Excellence Award (MCIEA) 2018~ The Best Project Award (Building) for the Major Project category (More than RM100 million). The certificate award was received in a ceremony held on 28th September 2018 at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

Bina Puri was represented by Mr We Her Ching, Executive Director of Bina Puri Sdn Bhd, who received the certificate award presented by  YB Tuan Haji Mohd Anuar Bin Mohd Tahir, Deputy Minister of Works Malaysia.

YBhg Tan Sri Datuk Tee Hock Seng, JP, Group Managing Director of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd was conferred the prestigious IIFAWPCA Atsumi Award at the 44th International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors’ Associations (IFAWPCA) Convention held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The Award was presented by Mr. Yoshihiro Yamaguchi, from the Overseas Construction Association of Japan (OCAJI) representing the late Takeo Atsumi, Past President of IFAWPCA, 1973-1974.

Bina Puri (B) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd based in Brunei Darussalam successfully completed another Projek Perumahan Negara Kg. Lugu “Design & Build Of Earthwork, Infrastructure & 1,000 Units Of High Density Development Including Master Planning At Kg. Lugu National Housing Scheme, Negara Brunei Darussalam”. The project comprises the Construction of 1,000 unit Cluster houses including Earthworks, Roads and Car parks, Drainage, Sewerage and Manholes, Mechanical & Electrical and all necessary Pipe sleeves including provision of all temporary works required at a contract value of BND 109.5 million / RM 273.7 million.

Bina Puri Holdings Bhd successfully completed the 13-storey shopping complex of Melawati Mall project,  at Bandar Ulu Kelang, Mukim Setapak, Daerah Gombak, Selangor Darul Ehsan. The shopping complex which owned by Sime Darby Capitaland (Melawati Mall) Sdn Bhd, comprises of 8-storey commercial spaces from ground level to level 7, and 5-storey of carpark area from basement 1 & 2, and from level 8 to level10.

Bina Puri Holdings Bhd received “The Inaugural Malaysian Brand Award” at the Third Malaysia Golden Entrepreneur Award and the Inaugural Malaysian Brand Award. The award was received by Group Executive Director, YBhg Datuk Matthew Tee Kai Woon, presented by YB Datuk Seri Ir Dr Wee Ka Siong, Minister in the Prime Minister Department. The award was a recognition of the Malaysian brands, their business activities and contribution to Malaysian economy.

The LKIIM fishery complex project was successfully completed by Bina Puri Construction Sdn Bhd. The project was to plan, design and build a fishery complex in Kuching, Sarawak, at a contract value of RM247.84 million. The complex is expected to create a buoyant fishery industry for the state as it would integrate the upstream and downstream economic activities of the fishery industry in a one-stop centre.

Bina Puri Sdn Bhd on 9^th January 2017 successfully completed the Sabah State Administrative Complex Project at Teluk Likas, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah involving a 30-storey office tower and 2 blocks of 9-storey buildings. Meanwhile on 16^th March 2017 Bina Puri Sdn Bhd accomplished the Additional Buildings Works (Phase 1) for the Sabah State Administrative Complex under the “Facilitation Fund” from the Federal Government of Malaysia.  The total contract value for both completed packages was RM453.73 million.

PT Megapower Makmur Tbk debuted on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), making it as the First Non-Government Link Company(Malaysia, GLC) and also the second independent electricity power producer listed on Bursa Efek Indonesia. The company listed 245 million shares  (30 percent) under the code MPOW, with an opening price of Rp 340 (RM 0.11 ), up 70 percent from the offering price of Rp 200 per share. After the listing, BPHB through Bina Puri Power Sdn Bhd owns 56 percent of  MPOW.

Bina Puri Holdings Bhd through its subsidiary, Sungai Long Industries Sdn Bhd secured a major contract to undertake the pavement works and temporary road diversion at the Federal Route FT54 from Sungai Buloh to Assam Jawa, Kuala Selangor.  The work was awarded by Aktif Unggul Sdn Bhd with a total contract value of RM35.5 million and the works are expected to be completed within 31 months from the commencement date on 16 December 2017.

Bina Puri Holdings Bhd through it’s unit, Bina Puri Holdings (Thailand) Co Ltd clinched a THB250,597,369 (equivalent to RM 35.03 million) contract to construct the planned “I’m Fine Condominium”, a unique development concept at Bangna-Trad Road, Bangkok, Thailand. The agreement was signed between Bina Puri Holdings (Thailand) Ltd and WNC Construction Co. Ltd. Joint Venture with the developer, Fine 22 Properties Company Limited and Ya Thai Chemical Co. Ltd. Joint Venture.

Bina Puri Sdn Bhd accepted a Letter of Award from Punj Lloyd Sdn. Bhd. to construct pipe sleeper and underground services at the Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) Project site for a contract sum of RM73 million. The work shall be completed within 18 months. The scope of work includes supply all materials and construction of underground services which include but not limited to piping for sewage, water supply, manhole, drainage and all other safety features, and levelling and grading work for above ground at the refinery tank farm.

Karak Land Sdn Bhd, a unit of Bina Puri Group signed a MoU with Koperasi Petani Muda Malaysia Berhad  (KPMM) to develop a 150-acres land in The Valley project at Bentong, Pahang. The purpose of the MoU was to help the young farmers who are interested venturing into agriculture and agro-tourism sectors in Malaysia. Karak Land Sdn Bhd was  represented by YBhg Datuk Matthew Tee while KPMM was represented by its president , YB Senator Datuk Chong Sin Woon, who is also the Deputy Minister of Education Malaysia. Bina Puri Holdings Bhd held its 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Wisma Bina Puri, Selayang, Selangor. The AGM was in relation to the proposed renewal of shareholders’ mandate for the company and its subsidiaries to enter into recurrent related party transactions of a revenue of trading nature with related parties. YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Ir. Wong Foon Meng chaired the function at the presence of all the directors and more than 200 shareholders.

After the AGM, it was followed by the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM). At the EGM, the meeting approved the resolution of proposed listing of PT MegaPower Makmur on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

KL – Kuala Selangor Expressway Berhad (LATAR), an associate company of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd, was successfully organized the LATAR 99KM Healthy Ride. The Work Minister of Malaysia YB Dato’ Haji Fadhilah Yusof flagged off the 1,900 local and international cyclists won took part in the ride. The cycling event was a catalyst that would popularize Kuala Selangor as a sports and eco-tourism destination. The event received overwhelming turn up of about 1,900 local and international cyclists.

Bina Puri Sdn Bhd in joint venture with PPESW held a ground breaking ceremony for the newly project secured of the Development and Upgrading of the Proposed Pan Borneo Highway in the State of Sarawak, Malaysia - Phase 1, Package Contract - WPC-06 (Sg Awik Bridge to Bintangor Junction) from Lebuhraya Borneo Utara Sdn Bhd. The total contract sum is RM 1.36 billion with 47 months contract period. Bina Puri holds 30% share of this amount.

Bina Puri Holdings Bhd and CCCC Dredging (Group) Co. Ltd. from China signed an agreement to form a consortium for the development of Kuantan Waterfront Resort City (KWRC) project in Paang. Bina Puri Holdings Bhd was represented by its Group Managing Director, YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Tee Hock Seng, JP and CCCC Dredging (Group) Co. KL – Kuala Selangor Expressway Berhad (LATAR), an associate company of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd, won the 3rd place in the Annual Productivity & Innovation Conference and Exposition (APIC) 2016 under the service industry category. APIC 2016 was organized by the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), had its objectives to showcase best practices and practical applications of excellent practices on productivity and innovation. The national level was held from 25th to 27th October 2016 at Putrajaya. LATAR was represented by Technovators, the team of Innovative and Creative Group (KIK) which had won several KIK conventions and had achieved great recognition earlier.

On 22th March 2014, The Certificate of Fitness for Occupancy (CFO) was officially issued and handed over, together with the keys to the residents. This event was witnessed by Haji Abdullah Bin Marjunid, Timbalan Yang Dipertua, Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya. Meanwhile, on 25th March 2014 was the soft-opening of the Main Place – Your Neighbourhood Mall. The event was well attended and saw a positive response from the general public.

Bina Puri Construction Sdn Bhd entered into a contract agreement with Blessed Builders Sdn Bhd and Pengkalan Ikan Central Sdn Bhd to build the Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM) Complex in Kuching, Sarawak at a contract value of RM247.84 million. The facilities for the LKIM Fishery Complex include a marketing hall, a fisherman market, an administrative block, a multipurpose hall, the central utility building, a canteen, a surau, a fish box storage area and a jetty.

KLIA2 was successfly completed by Bina Puri Construction Sdn Bhd together with UEM Construction Sdn Bhd (UEMC). It was indeed the most challenging project for Bina Puri with tight deadlines coupled with several others challenges faced such as increase in job scope, various design changes and being the hot topic of media.

The buyers of the Darau Angkasa Apartments Phase 1 at Menggatal, Kota Kinabalu received their home/unit keys.  The keys were handed over by the Community Development and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Jainab Ahmad, representing the Sabah Chief Minister. Also present was the SPNB Chairman Datuk Dr Abdul Latif Amad. Meanwhile, Bina Puri Chairman Tan Sri Dato’ Ir Wong Foon Meng and Bina Puri GMD Tan Sri Datuk Tee Hock Seng also attended the event.

Bina Puri (B) Sdn Bhd was awarded another mega housing project by the Ministry of Housing, Brunei Darussalam. It is for the Design & Build of Earthwork, Infrastructure and 1,000 units of High Density Development Including Master Planning at Kg. Lugu National Housing. The contract amount is RM281.4 million to be completed within 24 months. In 2013, Bina Puri had completed another package under the same National Housing Scheme, which was to construct 520 units of houses in Kg. Lugu.

There was the Grand Opening of Main Place Mall @ USJ 21, Subang Jaya. The grand opening was launched by the Minister of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, YB Dato' Seri Mohamed Nazri bin Abdul Aziz. Other VIP present was YB Puan Hannah Yeoh Tseow Suan, Speaker of Selangor State Legislative Assembly. The event was packed with fashion shows, jazz brass band, street percussionists, Wheel of Fortune-style game, the spotlight was on Malaysian award winning songbird, Shila Amzah who mesmerized the audiences with her splendid performance that night. The event started at 2.00pm and ended at 10.00pm.

The contract shall complete in 36 months with contact amount of RM 441.0 million.

Bina Puri Properties Sdn Bhd ventured into a Joint Venture Agreement with Kuching Hockien Association to develop 10.35 acres of land situated along Jalan Tun Haji Openg, Kuching, Sarawak. The development, which will be completed in four years, comprises of building shopping malls, shop houses, apartments, office blocks and a Hotel. The Gross Development Value is estimated to be in the region of RM300 million.
