Kuala - Lumpur, 13 Jan 2009 - Bina Puri Holdings Bhd through its unit, Bina Puri (Thailand) Ltd, was awarded the "International Achivement Award" during the Malaysian Construction Industry Excellence Award,  MCIEA 2008  for the outstanding completion of projects in Thailand namely, Bangplee, Nadee and Kraseobon in 2008.

The award ceremony was held at the new CIDB Convention Centre at Jalan Cheras, Kuala Lumpur graciously  attended by the Minister of Works Malaysia, YB Dato' Ir Mohamad Zin bin Mohamed. YB Senator Tan Sri Datuk Tee Hock Seng, JP, Group MD and Madam Churairat E. Bonython, Advisor to Chairman, Deva Property Development Plc Ltd, (BP partner in Bangkok) received the award on behalf of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd. Apart for the above award, Bina Puri also was one of the receivers for the certificate of appreciation of the "Special Award - Innovation" for the usage of TunnelForm System in Bangkok projects.
 
Mr Simon E Bonython, Chairman, Deva Property Dev. Plc Ltd, Mr Magendran, GM of Thailand Project, Mr We Her Ching, Mr David Lee, Mr Tan Kwe Hee, Tuan Hj Ir Azhar Ali, En Amran Amir, Tuan Syed Nasser Syed Omar, Mr Lim Joo Kiat, Pn Norpaizah Abd Wahab were among the supporters attended the ceremony night. 
 
The Malaysian Construction Industry Excellence Awards (MCIEA) is intended to be the Malaysian premir accolades for all round excellence, promoted by CIDB Malaysia. Bina Puri had won the Prominent Player Award (YB Senator Tan Sri Datuk Tee Hock Seng, JP) in the year 2005, Contractor Award - G7 (Capital Square Condomium) in the year 2007 and the recent award, International Achivement Award 2008 (Thailand project), had testified and recognized the successful cross-border partnership between Bina Puri and Deva in Thailand.
